A DIY Space Cannon That Fires Rockets 800 Feet Into the Sky

What happens when you mix backyard engineering with a centuries-old idea for launching things into space? You get a giant homemade cannon!

In this video, maker Michael Rechtin sets out to build a small-scale version of the space cannon concept, inspired by the Cold War–era Project HARP, which once fired massive projectiles over 100 miles into the atmosphere. Instead of a 180-foot barrel, though, this version is basically a very serious potato cannon made from PVC pipes, valves, and a mountain of screws.

The result is an 8-foot barrel air cannon capable of launching 3D-printed rocket-shaped projectiles hundreds of feet into the air. After a few trial launches, the builder manages to fire one projectile to over 800 feet high, and even straps a tiny camera inside to capture the ride. Check it out!

Poopyfartybum69: When NPCs Are Forced to Say Players’ Ridiculous Usernames Out Loud [Comedy Sketch]

Fantasy RPGs are full of epic moments: ancient prophecies, sacred rituals, mysterious flames revealing a hero’s destiny… But none of those systems were designed with modern gamertags in mind. Watch, and pour one out for every fantasy NPC who had to say “Dixie Normus” with a straight face.

ISO Explained: Why Your Camera Isn’t Doing What You Think

If you’ve ever been told that ISO makes your camera “more sensitive to light,” congratulations, you’ve been given the photography equivalent of “just turn it off and on again.”

This video breaks down what ISO actually does inside your camera, why it even exists, and why cranking it up sometimes turns your beautiful photo into a grainy mess that looks like it was taken with a potato.

Along the way, you’ll learn what really causes image noise and get a simple step-by-step guide to using ISO properly so you can capture cleaner photos without randomly spinning the settings wheel and hoping for the best.

If ISO has always felt like mysterious camera magic, this explanation finally clears things up… without requiring a photography degree or a sacrifice to the lens cap gods.

Steven Spielberg’s New Disclosure Day Trailer Teases Humanity’s Biggest Secret

What if the biggest secret in human history was about to drop… all at once? That’s the premise behind the new trailer for Disclosure Day, the upcoming sci-fi blockbuster from Steven Spielberg, and judging by the footage, humanity might finally be getting confirmation that we’re not alone in the universe.

The film follows powerful forces scrambling to keep a decades-long extraterrestrial cover-up under wraps. Unfortunately for them, the aliens may have other plans, and some humans are ready to spill the cosmic beans too. The trailer leans hard into that classic Spielberg mix of awe, mystery, and “uh-oh, humanity might not be ready for this.”

Adding even more goosebumps to the whole thing, legendary composer John Williams came out of retirement to score the film for Spielberg. If that doesn’t scream big cinematic moment, nothing does.

According to the official synopsis from Universal Pictures, the movie asks a simple but terrifying question: If someone proved we weren’t alone… would you actually want to know?

One thing is certain: on June 12, 2026, the truth apparently belongs to seven billion people. And judging by the trailer, it’s arriving whether humanity is ready or not.
