Marvel Studios has finally dropped the first full trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, and wow… it looks absolutely incredible.
After months of speculation, we finally get our first real look at Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, and seeing the actor who defined the MCU as Tony Stark return as one of Marvel’s greatest villains is every bit as surreal as you’d expect. The trailer wisely keeps its biggest secrets hidden, but it does an excellent job introducing the key players while teasing plenty of jaw-dropping action, stunning visuals, and the massive scale of what’s to come.
This is very much a “meet the players” trailer, but there are enough epic moments sprinkled throughout to send Marvel fans into full hype mode.
Directed once again by Joe and Anthony Russo, the filmmakers behind Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, the film marks the fifth chapter in Marvel’s main Avengers saga. The cast is stacked with returning MCU heroes, the Fantastic Four, and even legendary X-Men characters, making this one of the most ambitious crossover events Marvel has ever attempted.
Of course, the biggest talking point is Doctor Doom. The casting of Robert Downey Jr. shocked fans when it was announced, and now we finally get to see him in action. Whether you’re already sold on the idea or were skeptical at first, this trailer is sure to fuel plenty of debate until the movie hits theaters.
One thing is certain: Marvel’s marketing campaign is officially underway, and if this first trailer is any indication, Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up to be one of the biggest cinematic events of 2026.
