Every now and then, the internet gives us something so wonderfully weird that the only reasonable response is, “Yep, this exists… and I love it.” Meet Long Legged Larry, a frog with ridiculously long legs who solves pretty much every problem by jumping over it.
Aesop Rock’s delightfully goofy song follows Larry as he hops in to rescue cats stuck in trees, princesses trapped in towers, and even a circus poodle in distress. He jumps over buildings, stars, and just about anything else that gets in his way, all while making gravity look like a mere suggestion.
The music video, beautifully animated by Rob Shaw, brings Larry’s absurd adventures to life with loads of charm and personality. Released in 2021 alongside the Long Legged Larry video game, it’s the kind of catchy, feel-good oddity that’ll probably have you humming “Go Larry! Go Larry!” long after it’s over.
Seriously… we could all use a little more Larry in our lives.
