Feline Assassin Crashes Romeo and Juliet Ballet and Finishes Off Romeo

Cat Crashes Romeo and Juliet Ballet

During a ballet performance of Romeo and Juliet in Izmir, Turkey, an uninvited feline actor wandered onto the stage during the story’s tragic finale and immediately stole the spotlight. As Romeo lay dramatically “dead,” the cat began playing with his hair, pawing at it, nibbling on it, and generally acting like it had mistaken the lead actor for a giant cat toy.

The dancers somehow stayed in character through the entire ordeal. Juliet even managed to improvise around the chaos like a seasoned professional, while the audience witnessed what may be the greatest unscripted moment in ballet history.

Turkey is famous for its stray cats, but even by local standards, this furry critic was unusually hands-on with the performance.
