Cardboard Wars: The Star Wars Parody Made From Pizza Boxes and Pure Genius

Cardboard Wars

If you’ve ever watched Star Wars and thought, “This is great, but what if everything looked like it came from a recycling bin?”, congratulations, Cardboard Wars is about to become your new favorite thing.

This 52-minute parody is a love letter to the galaxy far, far away. Even better, Cardboard Wars isn’t just parody, it’s a fix-it fic for fans still holding grudges. Han Solo shoots first. No hesitation. No debate. Greedo doesn’t even get a chance to monologue. Balance restored. And yes, justice is finally served: Chewbacca (played by an adorable doodle, no less) actually gets his medal.

The whole thing was created by Zach King, who clearly belongs to the generation that still calls it Star Wars (not A New Hope, thank you very much). Even more impressive? The entire production took just five days, with all interior scenes shot in a Los Angeles warehouse.

Interested in seeing the sequel? King has promised a cardboard version of The Empire Strikes Back… but only if the video hits 350,000 likes.

So if you’ve ever wanted to see Hoth recreated with packing peanuts and a Tauntaun made from a cereal box, you know what to do.
