Things are about to go very wrong in Resident Evil… and it looks gloriously brutal.

The first trailer for Resident Evil is here, and it wastes no time throwing us into a cold, nerve-wracking nightmare. Directed by Zach Cregger, this reboot ditches familiar storylines and drops us into a fresh horror scenario in Raccoon City.

We follow Bryan (Austin Abrams), a medical courier who goes from asking to use a phone to fighting for his life as everything around him collapses into a nightmare.

In theaters September 18.
