
Well… this is how it starts. You know that moment in every sci-fi movie where a character says, “Don’t worry, they’re perfectly safe”?
Yeah, this is that moment.
Figure, the AI robotics company building humanoid robots, just released a production update, and it’s pretty much a live-action prequel to “we probably shouldn’t have done that.” In just 120 days, they went from building 1 robot a day to 1 robot an hour.
They’re rolling out 55 humanoid robots this week, all lined up in a warehouse like they’re waiting for a firmware update… or a motivational speech from Skynet.
And yes, because subtlety is dead, they straight-up recreate that chilling lineup scene from I, Robot at the end of the clip (2:36). Rows of identical robots, standing perfectly still, definitely not thinking about anything, with one taking a peek on the side in the background.
