Marvel just dropped the first trailer for Punisher: One Last Kill, and yeah, it’s not pulling any punches.

Jon Bernthal is back as Frank Castle, and the trailer throws him straight into the worst possible situation: burning, bleeding, and battling both enemies and the ghosts in his head. It’s brutal and leans hard into the psychological damage that’s always fueled the character while still delivering the kind of ruthless, skull-cracking action fans expect.

This special drops May 12 on Disney+, just one week after the finale of Daredevil: Born Again, and it looks like a direct continuation of that story. After crossing paths with Matt Murdock and clashing with Kingpin, Castle is back on the warpath, and judging by this footage, he’s holding nothing back.

Short version: pain, rage, fire, and a whole lot of bullets. Fans of the Punisher’s darker edge are about to eat well.
