Justice finally caught up with Wade Wilson at Emerald City Comic Con last weekend in Seattle. X user @justpids was casually roaming the convention floor in full Deadpool cosplay, business as usual for the Merc with a Mouth, when the long arm of superhero law tapped him on the shoulder.

Enter a Foggy Nelson cosplayer and Jennifer Walters (She-Hulk,) apparently working a side gig in process serving. Instead of asking for a photo, they handed Deadpool an official-looking summons ordering Wade Wilson to appear before a U.S. District Court.

His alleged crimes? First-degree murder… and unauthorized breaking of the fourth wall.

Considering how many times he’s looked straight at the audience and made a joke, that second charge alone could carry a life sentence.
