Report: Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake Arriving Before March 2026

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake

For years, Assassin’s Creed fans have been praying to the pirate gods for a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, widely considered not just one of the best AC games ever made, but one of the best pirate games period. Now, according to a new report from Insider Gaming, that long-awaited remake might be arriving shockingly soon: before March 31, 2026.

Ubisoft’s recently delayed financial report seems to back this up, quietly listing an “unannounced title” planned for reveal before the end of the fiscal year. Insider Gaming claims that mystery project is absolutely the Black Flag remake, something they say they’ve been tracking for the past 18 months across leaks, rumors, and internal chatter.

And honestly? The hype is already bigger than what we saw for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. If done right, meaning a true overhaul rather than just prettier textures, this could be the win Ubisoft needs right now.

Fans have been speculating for months, especially after reports that the remake may lean more into RPG systems. But as of today, Ubisoft still hasn’t officially confirmed anything. So as always… keep the expectations tempered, even if every sign is pointing to “yes, it’s happening.”

With Black Flag considered by many as the crown jewel of the franchise, a full remake landing this soon is massive news for AC’s fans.
