Freddy Wong is back, baby, and he brought the beans. The Boxcar Fight is RocketJump’s latest short: an action-comedy brawl set on the rails where investment pitches, hobo cuisine, and organized crime all collide in gloriously over-the-top fashion. It’s Jackie Chan–style action at its best, mixing slapstick, stunt work, and surprises that dropkick you when you least expect it.
Sure, this short is AMAZING, but it’s also a proof-of-concept for Freddy’s upcoming feature film Nail House, which is now crowdfunding at nailhouse.film. If you love creative fight scenes, old-school stunt work, and a chef-turned-hobo who takes “seed money” a little too literally, The Boxcar Fight is ten minutes of pure joy. Watch it, laugh, wince, and if you have the means, take a minute to support Nail House to help Freddy and his team make their dream film a reality.
Because, as he says: good action is hard to do… and he wants to do it good.
