The wait is over, and the horror is here. FX has finally unleashed the full trailer for Alien: Earth, and if you thought facehuggers were your only problem, think again. This isn’t just another xenomorph rerun: this is an all-new invasion, and it’s happening on our own front lawn.
Set in 2120, the series brings the dread of deep space crashing straight into Prodigy City when a Weyland-Yutani research ship plummets to Earth, carrying more than just broken dreams. On board? Not one, not two, but five invasive alien species, including our old friends, the facehuggers, and some floating jellyfish nightmare that looks like it wandered straight out of a nightmare.
This first-ever live-action Alien TV series isn’t just a rehash, it’s expanding the lore in bold, grotesque new directions. Forget just xenomorphs in the vents. Now we’re looking at an entire ecosystem of intergalactic terror, each species bringing a different flavor of panic. And with the timeline placing this just before the Nostromo incident from Alien (1979), it’s clear that Weyland-Yutani’s alien obsession runs even deeper… and darker than we thought.
Alien: Earth premieres with two episodes on Tuesday, August 12th at 8 p.m. ET on FX and Hulu in the U.S., and streams globally on Disney+ the same day. Brace yourselves, Earthlings, the infestation has begun.
