A Beautiful Mess: This is the World’s Largest Otamatone Orchestra

Otamatone Orchestra

Comedians Andrew Heaton and Justin Robert Young issued a ridiculous challenge: form the world’s largest otamatone orchestra, and they’d fund it. Enter Leslie Baker, a band director in Thorntown, Indiana, who took them up on it. The result? Forty students playing those squeaky, note-shaped synths with faces in a gloriously chaotic concert that must be seen (and heard) to be believed. With big hearts, tiny instruments, and an audience somewhere between awe and confusion, this may be the most absurd musical performance ever. Check it out!
