He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Reboot is Coming to Netflix

Most geeks that were kids in the 80s remember He-Man and the Masters of the Universe with nostalgia. It was a great show and one that many of us hoped would one day be back on our screens. If you are among those, you’ll be glad to hear that Netflix, in partnership with Mattel Television, will officially reboot the series with a CG animated show! This will not be Kevin Smith’s “Masters of the Universe: Revelation” that was annouced a few months ago, but something entirely different. I think many of us were expecting this after Netflix released the reboot of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power last year.

“Masters of the Universe is one of the most iconic global franchises of all time, with a 30-year history and a passionate fan base,” explained Mattel’s senior vice president of content distribution and business development Fred Soulie. “The entire team at Mattel is excited to introduce the world of He-Man to a new generation and, together with the talented team at Netflix, to reimagine the classic characters in a way that appeals to kids and families today, while also resonating with the fans who grew up with them.”
