PS4 Games Come To PC Via PlayStation Now

PS4 games are now available on PC for PlayStation Now subscribers. As you might expect, most of the titles are a couple of years old.

In the US, there’ll initially be 20 PS4 titles on the service:

  • Akiba’s Beat
  • Broken Age
  • Castlestorm Definitive Edition
  • Darksiders II Deathfinitive Edition
  • Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition
  • Evolve
  • Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky
  • F1 2015
  • God of War 3 Remastered
  • Grim Fandango Remastered
  • Helldivers
  • Killzone Shadow Fall
  • MX vs ATV Supercross Encore
  • Nidhogg
  • Resogun
  • Saints Row IV: Re-Elected
  • Super Mega Baseball
  • Tropico 5
  • Ultra Street Fighter IV
  • WWE 2K16

There’s some regional variation however, notably that UK customers start out with 51 PS4 titles. In both cases, this is in addition to the existing 500 or so PS3 titles available on PlayStation Now on both consoles and PCs.

Sony says more PS4 titles will be added in monthly updates, though isn’t saying how many. It also says it’s not committed to a fixed timescale for how quickly new retail games will wind up on Playstation Now. Some but not all PS4 titles on the service will include DLC elements as well as the original content.

If you do have a PS Plus account, you’ll be able to copy over save files from PlayStation Now, which could be useful if you decide to buy the game outright and want to pick up where you left off.

The normal price for PlayStation Now is $19.99 a month until September 22nd, you can get the first month for $9.99, or pay $99.99 up front for a full year. One point to watch out for is that you can’t combine this with the standard 7-day free trial, which will continue to automatically roll over to the standard $19.99 a month price unless cancelled.
