Netflix has just announced that they will soon be developing a series based on The Witcher, one of the most beloved video game franchises in recent history, which is based itself on a series of novels from polish author Andrzej Sapkowski.

As seen above, Tomasz Bagiński will be one of the guys directing the series. That’s the same person who has directed the cinematics from The Witcher games along with Platige Image, a Polish company that specializes in computer graphics, 3D animation, and digital special effects. However, the official press release does not mention if the series will be animated or if it will be a live-action adaptation.
