Is ‘Daredevil’ Season 2 the Best Season of Comic Book TV Yet?

Daredevil’s first season on Netflix was awesome. Killing away the bad taste that the awful Daredevil movie left in our mouths, it is gritty and dark and everything we hoped it would be. But who knew what we would get with season 2? We knew Punisher and Elektra were cast, and they set the tone for the season perfectly. But even as a fan, I had no idea JUST how good this second season was going to end up being. Most of this is, in fact, due to Jon Bernthal as the Punisher. A scene-stealing maniac and the best version of the Punisher character we have seen yet on film, even if it is the small screen in this case.

If you have not given Daredevil a shot yet, you owe it to yourself to check it out from the start, but brace yourself (especially in some of the slower moments of season one) for season two, because in this writer’s personal opinion, it is the best season of comic book television that has ever been made. Brutal, violent, tense, and hard to stop watching, it is the adult version of comic book heroes that most of us have been waiting for our entire lives. The very characters we grew up reading. So yes, best season of a comic book adaptation yet, hands down.

Or at least, up to this point. So pop over here and watch it, now!

Editor’s note: I’ve been looking for a Punisher t-shirt with a design that looks like the spray painted armor Frank Castle wears at the end of Season 2 (a little drippy, as seen in the pictre above,) but I haven’t seen anything that looks like that yet. If any of you know where I could find one, be sure to let me know in the comments below! :)
