Bowing Down For Snack Food: Marketing Genius or Going Too Far? [Video]

Late last month, I posted about a new vending machine that makes pizza.

Now, in what could be argued as a stroke of marketing genius, Australian snack company Fantastic created the “Delite-o-matic” machine to promote its new Delites rice chips.

But in order to nom this coveted chip, you must first press the button…AND THEN BOW DOWN AND PRAISE “THE ALMIGHTY ONE” ON THE MACHINES COMMAND.

Take a look!

Those must be some tasty chips! Would you do it??

  1. This doesn't surprise me. People will do incredibly stupid things in their living room for meaningless points, I don't see why they wouldn't do it for food that they might not even like.

  2. The thing I find the most stupid is.. instead of hitting that button a thousand time, go to work, you'll earn more money in the time you pressed that button than the value of those cracker. I just can't beleive what people will do to get free stufff… it's amazing and well…. embarassing at the same time.

  3. oh come on GAS…it looks more like the trill of the challenge then just mearly going and buying it in the store….and that kid is a great dancer!!

  4. Ha I'd totally press a button 5000x just so I could get home and tell people I pressed a button 5000x just so they could eat some biscuits.
