I wouldn’t know, but apparently biking and backpacking can be difficult, especially if you’re attempting to climb up a mountain and then bike back down.
Well, Those of You Who Do This, your problem is now SOLVED thanks to the German-made Bergmönch!
Meaning “mountain monk” in German, this bicycle actually folds into a wearable backpack (or this backpack pack *unfolds* unto a bicycle)!

No seat and no pedals. That's not a bike, that's a scooter!
Going downhill on a trail you don't sit nor pedal on a bike either, not much difference there.
I actually got into mountain biking specifically for the health benefits of struggling up the mountain on the bike. I also have to agree that it's clearly a scooter.
As a mountain biker, I agree this is more of a scooter with the lack of pedals and seat than it is a bike. That's cool, though. My main concern is that there don't appear to be any straps or cages for your feet. How do they not slip off the foot pegs on a bumpy trail or when you get a little air?
