A Game of Waiting [Comic]

Oh you sweet summer child, what do you know of waiting? If you’ve read all of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire books, you certainly know what waiting means. Sigh.

  1. I was a late convert, but I feel for the books as I'm waiting for the last two now. Can't help to wonder if the books will beat the end of GRRM life – he doesn't look particularly young or healthy.

That being said, this comic reminds me of every post on the Game of Thrones board on IMDB. TV show viewer makes a comment, book readers come out of nowhere to say – You know nothing, Jon Snow.

  2. This is one of the reasons that I'm afraid to read the books. What if he dies before the series is over? I'll never know what happens…

  3. Apparently, he’s told the writers/producers of Game of Thrones what happens just in case he dies before he can write it. So they’d be able to continue the story via the show if he passes away.

  4. The big caveat on that is they only know the big plot points and the resolution. None of the infinite minutia that litters every chapter. He has also expressly forbidden anyone from ever finishing the written the portion should he die.

  5. the last time I waited for something it was Duke Nukem Forever, well guess what, now I wait for nothing, if something can't meet the deadlines I set for it (and you'd damn well better respect my deadline, because it's your initial anounced deadline you piece of shit.) I will not purchase it.
