  1. So true, so true. Censorship is just a way for the weak-mided and weak-willed to remove personal responsibility from their shoulders.

  2. I have to be honest, I feel like this misses the mark – censorship doesn't really have anything to do with "good" or "bad", it's about what an institution finds "inappropriate", and for that reason it's always something to be vigilant about. On the flip side, completely free speech is also an outlet for liars and cons, and can cause confusion when facts are subverted by those with bad intentions (abuse of free speech is part of what has largely turned OWS from a well intended movement into a farce in the public eyes), so that also requires constant vigilance.

The real thing that cuts both ways is the need for people to use their brains at least as much as they spout their ideals.

    • In case it sounds otherwise BTW, I'm all for free speech and minimal-to-no censorship. However I'm also hopelessly pragmatic and sick of people mindlessly spouting their "rights" without thinking about what those rights really are.

  3. Mother f*ckers, they want to nazify everything by telling people what to do, what to think, what to eat, there's no real freedom anymore. We've given governments way too much power, to a point where what people want doesn't matter anymore, we must REVOLT!!!
