An 8-Bit Art History Lesson from Aled Lewis [Gallery]

This is another contribution to the SUPER iam8bit show up now through September 10 in Los Angeles. Aled Lewis cleverly recreated historically significant paintings in 8-bit game mash-ups. (Our favorite is Leisure Suit Larry plus Nighthawks.)

  1. While these are cute, they all look a lot more like early IBM PC games, which would put them firmly in the realm of 16-bit games (technically 4-bit graphics, not that the truly 8-bit NES had any higher color fidelity).
