Last night’s Simpsons opening sequence was storyboarded and directed by UK street artist Banksy. This has to be one of the show’s most dark and depressing opening sequence ever produced. Check it out:

  1. Since "The Simpsons" was most likely dreamed up while the creator was at the U of Oregon, in Eugene, I'm betting there are some overtones specifically aimed at Nike (a major UO sponsor) here. (Funny, there's a Springfield as a suburb of Eugene too – though you have to go a ways to find any nuclear power plants.)
