  1. I agree with Heldt. It is not windows crash settings, it's microsoft blasted office crash settings! but not "word" only as Heldt claimed.

    Where else in Windows do you find AutoRecovery and Paper Clips? And where else do 5000 Bytes (<5KB!!!) matter?

  4. You DO realize that if a hardware fails, system crashes? There are many reasons why windows would crash. Generalising that all problems are because of the OS is just plain wrong.

    • Not all problems… But I can say in all honesty I have more problems with my Windows systems than I do my Ubuntu systems. One machine dual boots between Vista business edition (which I play games under) and Ubuntu (which I use for everything else) and I have to admit I find the business edition of Vista quite quick and stable. With that in mind I am of the opinion that the more fancy effects and desktop widgets etc come with your copy of windows the less stable it will be.

      Sorry that turned into a slight rant.
