Rickrolling originally began as an Internet prank where one person would be provided a link to something allegedly awesome. When they clicked on the link, they would be taken to Rick Astley’s video “Never Gonna Give You Up”… something decidedly not that awesome.   1. Back in 2008, I rickroll'd my mom for fun, but she was clueless to what it was. So a few days later, I did it again hopiong this time she would see the silly humour–still no response. So a week later, I once again sent her a fake link and rickroll'd her a third time. She called me on the phone and said "The links must be broken, they keep going to some song…" Oh well, parents just don't understand…
