CubeStormer Robot Solves Heavily Scrambled Rubik’s Cube in Seconds

You’ve probably all seen one of those amazing Rubik’s cube solving robots, but I can guarantee that what you’re about to see is going to completely blow you away.

Built entirely from Lego Mindstorms pieces, the CubeStormer is the world’s fastest speedcubing robot. It can scan and solve any 3x3x3 Rubik’s Cubes, no matter how scrambled they are, in under 12 seconds.

    • i think this is more a demonstration in robotic 3d manipulation, logic, and i guess processing speed vs physics, than makin a robot to solve rubiks cubes.

++add a subroutine that scrambles the cube using a random generator. do that to multiple cubes. then feed them back to the cubestormer one by one. record the times, and the random seed next to the times.

interesting to see if the more random a cube is the longer it takes, or if the logic just maps out where to go after 3-6 turns.
