Kick-Ass Trailer #2

After seeing the first trailer, I decided to stay neutral about this movie, but now that the second one is out, I must say that it looks quite promising. Check it out:

The plot of Kick-Ass concerns a teenage boy, Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), who decides to become a real-life superhero after being inspired by the heroes of comic books. He soon encounters a mysterious vigilante called Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage), and his daughter Hit-Girl (ChloĆ« Moretz), who are working to bring down the local drug baron Frank D’Amico. 1. That 2nd clip looks awesome. She uses her whip to pull his gun under his jar, and bang!
Looks fun, but I’m guessing people will be outraged at a young girl cursing which as we all know helps bring on more publicity to attract audiences that might not have known otherwise.

  3. You are correct. This is using basic pedophile instict to make money.

I am not outraged, but I am just sad that this movie, which was promissing in trailer #1, goes this way in trailer #2.

    • Wait a minute here, hold the phone. Seeing kids curse is feeding instinctual pedophiliac interests?
That’s a new one. South Park, A Christmas Story, random videos on YouTube, and hearing kids curse, and laughing at it is grounds for being considered a sex offender?

Sheesh. Harsh. At this rate, soon you won’t be allowed to open your eyes, because that’ll be considered a sex crime.
Reminds me of the old joke about the psychologist showing the ink splotch cards, and the patient says:” I don’t know but why do you keep showing me obscene drawings.”

  5. I can’t wait to see this movie. And even though Nicholas Cage’s character makes a very bad father–if I ever have them, my kids would rather curse in front of a teacher–who doesn’t remember hearing those words around the playground after the teachers left?

  7. Agreed, the pedophilia comment is out of left field (right field?). But my initial reaction is that it is too bad about the cursing, since this movie will be off limits to my kid for at least another 3 years. O.k., 2.
