The Best Short Sci-Fi Film I’ve Seen This Year: PLUG [Video]

plug1

PLUG tells the story of Earth’s only remaining human survivor, Leila Dawn, which was left alone and raised by robots after humanity left the planet for the stars (after nuking it, of course.) This is her story, or at least the beginning of it.

This one is a must-watch, geeks.

WHY MUST IT END THAT WAY? WHY? I WANT MORE. MOAR!

From David Levy:

Directorial debut from internationally renowned designer and concept artist, David Levy (Tron legacy, Prometheus, Ender’s Game, Tomorrowland, Avatar2). The short film is the first 15 minutes of a science fiction TV series Levy has outlined and hopes to film. Unlike the highly VFX-ed science fiction films inundating audiences today, PLUG is a return to 1970’s classics like Star Wars and Mad Max with a gritty universe made from mostly live props and real life settings. Enjoy and share!

“Hopes to film,” Mr. Levy? Why not kickstart the project? After what I’ve just seen, I’m fairly sure a kickstarter campaign to finance the series would be HUGELY successful. I know I’d promote the hell out of that thing!
