‘Avengers,’ ‘Harry Potter’ Actors to be Honored at BAFTA Britannia Awards

BAFTA Los Angeles was established by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts to “bridge between the Hollywood and British production and entertainment business communities,” according to the website. It is a non-profit corporation that does a lot of charity and inner-city work focusing on the arts.

They also hold the Britannia Awards each year, a prestigious event that honors both individuals and corporations for their contributions to the arts and philanthropy.

And this year, it’s a nerd free-for-all!

Avengers actors Robert Downey, Jr. and Mark Ruffalo will be honored on October 30 in Beverly Hills, along with Hermione Granger herself, Miss Emma Watson! Dame Judy Dench and writer-director Mike Leigh will also be honored.
