STOP TOYING WITH US: Director Confirms Fillion Will NOT Be Nova in ‘GotG’

----------------

I’m in a glass case of emotion over here, you guys.

Seriously.

Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has PERSONALLY denied the rumors that Nathan Fillion would be playing Nova in a small scene of the film. We reported last week that it was just a rumor, but still.

We almost all wanted it, didn’t we?!

Gunn DID CONFIRM, however, that Fillion will appear in the film.

Of course, you COULD argue Gunn is pulling an “Abrams” and just saying Fillion isn’t Nova, but then he probably wouldn’t have tweeted this:

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see, won’t we? Nevertheless, I remain excited about GotG. I just would really like to see Fillion play a superhero some day [soon]. Of course, since his small part in the movie has not been revealed, I guess there’s still some hope, right?

  1. Fillon was a superheroe once. More or less, he was one in Dr.Horrible’s sing along.

  2. I’m just gonna remind people (I know, already done) about how Cumberbatch was most definitely, surely, emphatically, we wouldn’t lie to you now would we, absolutely certainly NOT playing Kahn in Star Trek Into Remake — I mean Into Darkness.
