Russian-American Andrei Linde is a theoretical physicist and a physics professor at Stanford University in California. Linde was one of the main authors of the recently-confirmed inflationary universe theory.

Stanford Assistant Physics Professor Chao-Lin Kuo surprised Linde on Monday with the news that his theory — his life’s work — was correct.
