  1. The reason why people like eating spicy food is the same reason people like to exercise, have sex, or “like pain”, it stimulates the release of endorphins which give a feeling of euphoria. Endorphins stimulate the same receptors opiates do, so its even easier to see why any activity that stimulates endorphin release can become an “addictive” practice. It’s really not a mystery.
