# Firing a Super Soaker Filled with Super Hot Water at -42°F [Video]

----------------

Woke up to a balmy -41C this morning in South Porcupine, ON. Thought I’d share what happens when you mix boiling water and a water gun and take it outside for a few shots.

This is similar to the experiment I did last year around the same date:

1. Which is it, Celsius or Fahrenheit? This video is loosing credibility from the beginning…

• Derek says:

It’s the same at -40.

• At -40 both C and F are basically equal, so it really doesn’t matter. Either way it’s cold. If you want to get technical, -41C is -41.8F so if rounded properly that would be -41C = -42F.

2. Do some math John Furmanek. -40 is the same at both Celsius and Fahrenheit

3. Drew M. says:

“Loosing…”

I’m sorry, but you aren’t qualified to doubt anyone’s credibility.

4. Superjenny says:

Sweet sciencey magic!

5. Masowai says:

It’s quite obvious that John Furmanek was baiting you all. It’s easy to bait you all because… your retarded.
