‘Sikh Captain America’ Walks the Streets of New York [Video]

Vishavjit Singh was born in Washington, D.C. but moved with his family to New Delhi, India, when he was very young.

He now resides back in America – in New York City – and makes his living as an editorial cartoonist, while also “documenting the thrills and travails of real-life Sikhs in the aftermath of 9/11 through illustrations made on [his] computer touch pad,” Salon reports.

For Comic-Con last year, he created a bearded, turban-wearing Captain America.

And then he brought his interpretation of Captain America TO LIFE.

The recently-cancelled FX show Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell followed him around for a day, documenting the reactions of fellow New Yorkers.

The result? Confusion, but mostly tolerance.

And that he needed more muscles.
