At the Game Developers Conference last week, Activision unveiled a new breakthrough in real-time computer rendering and animation.

Its a lovely tech demo but it will be a hell of a long time before it can even function like that on an average piece of consumer hardware like a console. And in the context of a game with all the other draws on hardware power. Its just not going to happen.
Its a great tech demo and shows some nice things to come but don’t get excited and think the next Shooteymcbangbangbollocks game is going to have faces so lifelike you can smell the stench of mediocre game design oozing from every dynamically rendered pore.
Looks like a realtime 3d camera similar to LA noir. Might be using the Mova contour system.
Still a touch of the Uncanny Valley there, especially when the face begins to move, but scarily close.
