In Summer 2013, pioneering director J.J. Abrams will deliver an explosive action thriller that takes Star Trek Into Darkness. When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.

Explosions…phasers…explosions…sexy chick…explosions.
What happened to exploration, discovery, and that whole better future concept?
My thoughts exactly.
When did Star Trek become James Bond In Space?
Looks awesome. But it’s not Star Trek.
Ah crap… LensFlare 2 : The Return of The Glint.
…also: Weren’t Star Trek suppose to be about exploration, meeting new races, deep space travel, exotic locations? So why does this look like your generic Super-agent-movie with spaceships?
Couldn’t they have done a movie about a conflict with Romulans? or Klingons? or Andorians?
This just looks like another BS “war on terror”-story.
I for one don’t mind a story about the beginnings of the conflict between Kirk and Khan.
I still think he’s Gary Mitchell. Kahn’s still floating around frozen in the Botany Bay.
