He was a horrible person before he officially went evil… well… horribly scripted and acted anyways.
Watch the Phantom cut movies and he becomes understandable.
Still this seems unrealistic… without him becoming evil… who would have been able to kill the emperor? Without him being evil who would have founded the rebels?

Isn’t he, as a Jedi, barred from marriage? I thought one of the reasons of why he joined the dark side is to be able to marry Padme
Seems like silly logic. It would be a reason to leave the Jedi Order but that doesn’t really mean you are instantly an evil asshole who slaughters all who oppose you.
