Do you know the difference between a comet, an asteroid, a meteroid, a meteor and a meteorite?

  1. Their definition of asteroid and meteoroid is not the best. Yes the difference between the two is based on size but to imply asteroids are only found between Mars and Jupiter is wrong. There is an entire group of asteroids inhabiting the area that the Earth moves through. They are called the Near Earth Asteroids.

  2. They didn’t imply asteroids are only found between Mars and Jupiter. They explicitly state that they are “generally” found there. Thus, the implication is that there are asteroids elsewhere as well.
