companies need to use licensed software, the free version is only for home use. So winzip and others get money from them
@ Guest – I don't think it is free to use WinZIp at all. Corporate or personal use, both require a license. It's just a lot more risky for a company to use software illegally.
seems you are right, haven't used winzip for ages (hurray for 7-zip). I know winrar allows free use (with some popup message on start)
the graphic made me laugh, the preceding 3 comments made me befuddled.
With software like free 7zip no wonder they may have low purchases.
I paid for winamp years ago. so it is possible someone paid for winzip.
