Have you played Portal?! its a linear path that never leaves the same room!
What you see in the orange portal is what is opposite of the blue portal, and since the orange portal is on the other side of the room of the blue portal, the orange portal shows an image of itself.
Pretend you were standing inside the blue portal looking out towards the sign. You would see the left side of the signage and you would see the opening of the orange portal. :)
