Social Media Inspired Outfits

[GAS] reader Belinda just sent me these really cool social media-inspired outfits she created during the last few weeks, and I have to say, great job Belinda! Those look really great.

I used to think I would transport myself back to the 50s and 60s if I could, but then I realized that would mean voluntarily stripping myself of the internet and social media, which to me is like, slamming the car door on your own leg or poisoning yourself with syphilis.

It’s like, what did people 10 years ago do with those moments in their day when they eat/decide/see something completely irrelevant to the rest of the world? You mean they just… kept it to themselves? Well, that’s just crazy talk.

So in honor of social media, here are some outfits inspired by my favorite platforms.

  1. its probably just the trashy white platform pumps, but i sorta wanna have sex with youtube.

which makes a certain amount of sense, as i've had a great deal of sex near youtube.

    lonely lonely sex.

  2. I was waiting for the funny or interesting part of this, but there wasn't one.

I expected something like 4chan at the bottom and it would be a Fedora with a Hawaiian shirt and socks and sandals.

  3. They all sorta feel similar, but with different colors. Just like women, not every social network loves a huge wedge or platform. Cute idea, but I would like to see it redone with more thought behind each network and it's uses/users.

    • while i will agree that all of these skew a little tank-topy, you do see that half of these outfits feature two different flats options, yeah? but its true that a theme sorta runs through them..can we at least agree they are all accessorized well?
