Using a Kinect-like Xtion PRO by ASUS and some video goggles, a guy managed to go on a date with Hatsune Miku, a Japanese popstar who is entirely virtual.

She walks with him to the playground and responds when he pats her… AND ALSO WHEN HE BOPS HER on the head.

I’m not joking. Watch for yourself. It gets really disturbing near the end (around 3:08).

There’s already much speculation regarding how this “augmented reality” technology could be used — including in the pornography industry. Which is not at all surprising.
