Perfectly sound logic.

The problem WITH, not ABOUT.
I believe he should have brought back 7 bottles of milk technically
No, he should have brought 6 back with him but only bought one of them.
The problem is he still lives with his Mom.
Nope, just as erroneous to assume milk as to assume eggs.
He needs to call the market first to find out if they have eggs. If they in fact have eggs, he'll need to bring 6. 6 of what? The last referenced type was eggs… so we need to bring 6 eggs to the market, but only if the market has eggs. Maybe there's a food donation thing of some sort at the market today? Unfortunately we're out of eggs, so I ask mom, "Mom where are the eggs?"
But API calls weren't in the original requirements, and might be out of scope.

He should have replied with:

Somebody won me the idea of 7 bottles of milk.
But my comment is that my wife don´t understand idea about 6 or 7 bottles.
She smiles but don't explain it.
Makes sense to me. (Yep, I'm a programmer.)
