‘The Dark Knight’ Goes Hitchcock

The opening sequence of 2008’s “The Dark Knight” is one of director Christopher Nolan‘s finest displays of suspense. But when Plan 9 Pictures added Bernard Herrmann‘s score from Alfred Hitchcock‘s “Vertigo” (1958), the sequence gets downright creepy.
