People actually believe that crap? I mean, I've known plenty of people that believed the daddy-longlegs-spider myth, partially because of a nonlethal spider in Australia named the same, and I've corrected them, but the rest of it? Maybe I'm just a nerd who hangs out with too many other nerds… because I'm still wondering how people can not know basic facts about common animals and believe that nonsense.
I believe the lemmings misconception was because of the Disney movie where they actually forced the lemmings off the cliff… not the video game.
