I used to work at the VLA. It's a fascinating place to work. The VLA is on the Plains of St. Augustin, west of Magdalena, which is west of Socorro. If you're ever there and you need a good place to eat that's close by, I recommend going to the Eagle's Guest Ranch that's in Datil, NM, west of the VLA.
