Go to Google. Type in “let it snow”. Sit back and smile smugly, amused once again at the search giant’s unending cleverness. This trick looks really cool, too. I like the way it fogs up around the edges, until your entire screen is white. It’s subtle and slow and it actually makes me want to make a cup of cocoa. But then again, most things make me want to make a cup of cocoa.

Doesn't seem to work on my FreeBSD system. Maybe it requires Flash? I can see it on Windows, though.
Does not use flash – Google generally uses html5 + javascript for all it's special effects and interactive logos and whatnot

you have to go to google.com directly and type it in with the quotes. Then it works.
You can draw on the fogged up window too, try it!
and if you press ctrl A to highlight the whole page you can see it better :) it turns blue, or whatever other color you have set for that (I think you can change the highlight color? seems like a basic feature I'd overlook, I only tried it once on a Mac in 6th grade cause I was bored)
