Icons of Star Trek and Star Wars recently took to the internet arguing that their franchise reigned supreme. When things got personal, George Takei–the only actor who has worked in both–stepped in to broker the peace by identifying a mutual threat.

George Takei is not the only actor to work in both Star Trek and Star Wars. (A brief search turned up Ron Perlman, Clancy Brown and Olivia d'Abo).
He is however, the only main actor from either series to appear in the other
Awesome. :D
As I just said on the YouTube comments, leave it to George to put things in the proper perspective. Personally, I never got the whole rivalry in the first place. I mean, I love Star Wars, and I love Star Trek. Blaster or phaser, Millennium Falcon or Enterprise, it's all just plain awesome! I'd still prefer a ride in the Firefly class transport, Serenity, but hey, if the Falcon or a shuttlecraft dropped out of the sky and offered me a lift, I sure as heck wouldn't say no!
I think I just turned gay for George Takei! (I should put that on a t-shirt!)
