  1. This is my husband. He rarely watches episodic TV, but we make sure we're home in time to watch Doctor Who on Saturdays now.

  2. I love that they've got the Ninth, Tenth, and Eleventh Doctors all represented in the second photo.

I grew up watching the Fourth Doctor episodes on PBS in the 80s with my stepdad. Since the reboot, we've gotten my mom, brother, brother's girlfriend and a few friends hooked as well. It's like a religion in our family.

    • Just out of curiosity, what in the second picture is referring to Doc #9? I've got the bow tie(clearly 11), and the screwdriver(which I guess might go with 9 and 10) and the banana and 3D glasses(10; my Doc), and the generic Tardis mug. So, is it just the screwdriver, or is there something else I'm just too dense to see on my own?

        • Huh. Do not remember that. Honestly, the only thing I remember the banana from is when 10 and Rose were on that remote space station, and he was going through the time windows to visit Madame de Pompadour, and the bots had Rose strapped to a tabel, and in comes the Doc, fresh from a party, and among his seemingly drunken lines was…

"I *think* I just invented the banana daiquiri a couple of centuries early. Do you know they'd never seen a banana before? Always take a banana to a party, Rose, bananas are good."

So, that's why I always have a banana one me at all times. Nearly true story.

  3. Giggling at the truth complete. Now back to fangirl freaking out over this Saturday's finale. WHY ISN'T IT HERE YET!??!? T_T

  4. We are Legion. Join with us.

Sorry, couldn't resist. That's pretty much how it happens, too. For me, I've managed to get 8 of my friends hooked on DW. It's like a virus game, where you see how many you can infect…

  5. Yep. I'm going through it right now. And it's why I can't give up Netflix streaming. It's so bizarre how quickly it went from 0 to obsession

  6. I can honestly say that I am proud NOT to be a Whovian. I am much happier being a Trek fan. Although I know a lot of people that this exact thing has happened to. I have watched it, and it simply never caught my interest. Sorry if I offend any Whovians out there in Who-ville.

    • Don't worry. It happens sometimes. They say the show has something for everyone, but I can think of at least two people on the fly who do become fans of things but will never become fans of this.

  7. I got my boyfriend hooked when I insisted we watch the first (and second, I'd missed the premier) episode of 11th's second season. All he would talk about afterward is the Silence being in the moon landing footage and waxing poetic about how brilliant it was. We watched every single episode without fail that season.

  8. this happened to me a few months ago, I decided to check an episode and after that I had to watch the series and of course I ended up buying some stuff, like my sonic screwdriver and Tardis cookie jar. I fell in love with the doctor and I’m happy now.
