For those of you who haven’t started reading George R. R. Martin’s A Game of Thrones series yet, here’s an awesome deal you won’t want to miss. Amazon currently has a boxed set of the first four books of the series for just $19.78. That amounts to about $4.95 per book. If that isn’t a great deal, I don’t know what it.
Oh, and you’ll notice that the series is only rated 2 1/2 star on 5. The reason for this is that people were complaning that the kindle edition of the set used to be more expansive than the paper one, which is kind of ridiculous when you think about it. Apparently Amazon has fixed the issue now because the price I get for the kindle version is $17.80.
George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series has become, in many ways, the gold standard for modern epic fantasy. Martin—dubbed the “American Tolkien” by Time magazine—has created a world that is as rich and vital as any piece of historical fiction, set in an age of knights and chivalry and filled with a plethora of fascinating, multidimensional characters that you love, hate to love, or love to hate as they struggle for control of a divided kingdom. It is this very vitality that has led it to be adapted as the HBO miniseries “Game of Thrones.”

Guess since your not in the US amazon probably has different distribution rights in different countries.
I concur with Mr. Spurlin, 35.99
if i click on the screenshot will it buy the book for me?
It's only a screenshot of what I see….
Oh, I believed what you saw, I just want to know how you're getting it and the rest of us are not. Might be the Canada thing. Hey, maybe you can buy it for the rest of us! (It helps that we don't know each other.)
It's a Canadian thing. I have a US amazon account, but live in Ireland now and the price is the same on both sites (~$35.99). However, if I change my country to "Canada" I can get this $17.80 price, but when trying to check out you get this error message. *sigh*.
Hmm, apparently I can't post an image without a full login. At any rate, here's the message you receive: "Kindle book prices differ by country. The price for this Kindle book is different for your country and is displayed below… Have you moved recently? You may change your country on the Manage Your Kindle page."
